Job Purpose
Support, install, configure, and evaluate moderately complex network communications, including LAN, WAN, and telecommunications hardware and software. Maintain technical expertise in areas of network and networking hardware and software interconnection and interfacing. Participate in establishing and documenting standards for network architecture, and ensure total network integration.

Support, install, configure, and evaluate moderately complex network communications, including LAN, WAN, and telecommunications hardware and software. Maintain technical expertise in areas of network and networking hardware and software interconnection and interfacing. Participate in establishing and documenting standards for network architecture, and ensure total network integration.
• Lead requirements meetings for highly complex network configuration projects.
• Complete all phases of highly complex network configuration projects.
• Establish system development lifecycle process and coding standards. Direct and authorizes changes to existing infrastructure or configuration. Review project plans to contain escalating costs and to track progress.
• Install and configure most complex network hardware and application software. Make highly complex modifications and upgrades to existing network systems.
• Design highly complex test processes and scenarios for execution by less experienced engineers.
• Oversee network security. Perform most complex network security functions.
• Review issues logs and network capacity reports to identify trends and solutions that should be implemented enterprise-wide. Make recommendations to managers on process improvements.
• Proactively connects known and unrecognized business needs to emerging solutions.
• Lead complex cost/benefit analysis discussions when investigating purchase and development decisions. May assist with vendor negotiations.

Skills and Experience Required
5 to 10 years of job related experience or equivalent education/experience.
Cisco CCNP
Cisco VoIP
Cisco ASA

Minimum Education Required
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or related experience.
Area of specialization: Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer or Electrical Engineering
