Performs assigned QA/QC tasks on assigned projects.Responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements; conducts audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation.
Performs inspection and monitoring of project activities.
Performs sampling and testing activities. Documents inspection, monitoring, sampling and testing activities. Monitors quality assurance activities to determine conformance with corporate policy and procedures. Ensures the effective implementation of the quality program for assigned project tasks. Provides periodic reports to the Director QA/QC, or the QA/QC Manager, on the effectiveness of the quality program for assigned tasks.
In addition to competencies in Levels 1,2,3,4 is recognized as an expert in own area within the organization
Provides leadership, mentoring and guidance to others
Is a lead contributor; may participate in development of business strategy
Progression to this level is typically restricted based on business requirements
Has developed depth of expertise in own discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines
Applies expertise to the most complex problems; coordinates work outside own area of expertise

Anticipates internal/external business and regulatory issues; recommends process/product improvements

Takes leadership role; acts as a facilitator and mentor. Typically has 10 to 25+ years of relevant experience.
Must have extensive knowledge and understanding of nuclear industry QA programs and requirements:

USNRC Regulatory Guide 1.28 and its affects on NQA-1
Commercial Grade Dedication
Sub-supplier evaluation and control
Fundamental knowledge and understanding of the following are preferred:
ASME Code, Section III and IX
Inspection and test process and programs.
Previous certification as a lead auditor
Experience performing audits and surveillance activities.
