Provide financial management expertise in an Army resource management office. Maintain responsibilities for audit readiness planning and execution, including day-to-day processing of financial transactions using GFEBS, DTS, and other applicable financial management systems in accordance with Army financial management regulations and fiscal law. Assist with developing the plan and scope of the audit engagement and identify, document, and perform tests against internal controls. Test compliance against published policies and procedures and review internal control systems to determine their reliability and effectiveness. Prepare reports of findings and recommendations for corrective action through improvements to business practices, processes, and control procedures. Assist with the design and facilitation of compliance-related training sessions.
-5+ years of experience with accounting or finance department
-Experience with ERP software, including SAP solutions, funds management, financial and cost management, project systems, and procurement
-Knowledge of use and application of internal controls, including control environment, risk assessment, control activities, and monitoring
-Knowledge of federal financial management, federal acquisition regulations, statement of budgetary resources
-Ability to design and execute data collection activities and perform a broad set of analysis to identify business objectives, resources, and evaluate associated risks
-Ability to understand financial requirements and determine appropriate use of the government financial system to enter and analyze transactions and transactional data
-Ability to analyze and communicate complex financial requirements
-Secret clearance required
-BA or BS degree in Accounting or Finance
-Experience with accounting or finance department within US Army or DoD
-Experience with an internal audit department performing financial audits
-Experience with legacy Army systems, including DTS, STANFINS, SOMARDS, RMT, RM Online, SARRS, PBUSE, SAMS, SAAS, and ULLS
-Knowledge of the following, including CDFM, CGFM, internal controls, audit readiness and preparedness, Sarbanes-Oxley, GAAS, GAAP, and FAR and DFAR
-Knowledge of army records information management system (ARIMS)
-Knowledge of business intelligence tools, including SAP business intelligence and business objects
-Knowledge of GFEBS
-Possession of excellent communication and client management skills
