Responsible for developing the strategic direction of outside plant architecture across Charter’s HFC network, developing and managing a common mapping platform as well as validating and approving the use of exising and new HFC technology. Creates, implements and enhances consistent construction practices in the development of a reliable and capable HFC platform. Responsible for developing and maintaining a robust fiber optic deployment and usage model in support of commercial business and core video network. Provides strategy and direction related to the GIS platform that supports residential and commercial sevicability. Ensures a high degree of cross functional communication in line with commercial business and field operations.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads an innovative, collaborative work team to produce exceptional results delivering company strategy in connection with HFC architecture, HFC technology and mapping standards.
Provides engineering support and direction for new or existing technologies and current operational initiatives.
Evaluates and consults with executive management regarding technical operations, strategic planning of rebuilds, advanced HFC design and mapping.
Directs quality control programs for field operations in connection with core job functions.
Reviews selections on bids for contracted projects, and provide recommendations as necessary.
Oversees the maintenance of records as required by regulatory agencies and company requirements.
Ensures adherence to company TQA policies.
Performs other duties as requested by Manager.

Related Work Experience
12+ years engineering management experience
Demonstrated experience with project management
Demonstrated exceptional leadership skills
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
SCTE/BCTE certification or equivalent
Industry and vendor specific certifications and training
