Purpose: The Manager of Technical Services is a key position within JDL Technologies with a broad range of responsibilities around providing technical vision, direction, support and oversight. The Manager of Technical services is responsible for ensuring that all technical goods and services provided to JDL customers maintain a level of quality which will sustain JDL as a proven leader in its field. The Manager of Technical Services works closely with the General Manager to ensure that the technology and business goals are aligned to produce maximum returns.Major Tasks, Responsibilities Key Accountabilities: Design, Define and Manage the delivery of all product/service lines JDL provides to the commercial marketMaintain high level oversight for all technical activity and projectsManage, Support and Participate in Pre-Sales Engineering activities direct and via engineering resourcesProvide insight on emerging technologies and the impact they might have on the businessProvide direction and supervision for all technical supervisors and engineering resourcesEnsure technical goals and objectives of sales staff are aligned with ability to deliverWork with technical sales in developing and maintain partner relationships Play an active role in maintaining customer relationships Coordinate with operations manager to ensure overall operational continuityMaintain quality and quantity of technical staffing e to ensure current and future business objectives can be metWork with partners to develop relationships that strengthen JDL's position in the marketplace Participate in the strategic planning process to define business objectives and tacticsNature Scope: Reporting to VP/GMWill have responsibility for direct reportsEnvironmental Job Requirements Category: 1 E10 E20E3ADA Category: 1 10 20 30 4Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies: Evidence of a solid understanding of current and emerging technologies and potential impact on JDL businessExcellent communications skills both written and verbalAbility to supervise and provide direction for JDL technical supervisors and engineersProject management training and/or experienceAbility to communicate at the executive level about a variety technologies and how they can impact the businessWorking experience with a variety of IT related technologies that include Managed Services, Virtualization and Enterprise NetworkingWorking knowledge of the essentials of IT Service Management as defined in systems of IT governance such as ITILMinimum Qualifications: BA or related experience in Information Systems or equivalent technical certifications and experience10 Years experience in technology or related fields which includeoVirtualizationoManaged ServicesoIT Service managementoNetwork infrastructure design and managementoData Center implementationExperience with technology in a variety of verticals including education and health carePrevious IT management experienceCertification and/or experience in industry recognized system(s) for IT governance Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in related fieldsBilingual English and Spanish
