Sales and Marketing Coordinator (Sustainability Industry)
Located in Emeryville, CA, SCS Global Services is a global leader in third-party environmental, sustainability and food quality certification, auditing, testing and standards development. We are positioned for growth and are looking for a positive, energetic and organized individual who is excited about being a part of our team and looking for an opportunity to help us promote sustainability.
The Sales and Marketing Coordinator will support the growth of SCS's Food & Agriculture Training and Testing Programs by providing marketing, sales and administrative support. This is a full time position and a great opportunity to work in the Food & Agriculture industry with a company focused on promoting sustainability. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and have experience with event planning, online sales/marketing and an interest in food safety.
Responsibilities will include:
Writing and updating marketing pieces on the website and online (calendar posting, Constant Contact, LinkedIn);
Organizing and expanding e-mail lists to segment relevant target markets;
Assisting clients with the registration process, preparing invoices and maintaining client information and providing customer support;
Assisting with logistics – preparing educational materials, certificates, research and book event venues;
Conducting comparative food safety training and related research.
The successful candidate will meet the following minimum qualifications:
High school diploma, some college preferred
A team player with good communication and writing skills
Strong computer skills, including MS Office, PowerPoint and Excel.
Familiar with databases, registration programs (Constant Contact) and CRM software, preferably Filemaker and Sugar.
