We are exploding with growth and are looking to add a Linux Administrator to our team. The Linux Administrator will be responsible for providing system support for the LCG datacenter, which includes provisioning, configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, monitoring of servers, and documenting operating systems and other datacenter systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining datacenter monitoring systems
Preparing development, staging and production environment
Identifying performance issues
Responding to Level 2 support issues in a timely manner
Maintaining a comprehensive documentation of infrastructure
Automation of repetitive tasks
Coordinating effort with other support members and LCG staff
Required Skills
Skills/Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years experience related experience
Strong Red Hat Linux experience
Excellent MySQL knowledge, including replication
Superior knowledge of Apache web server configuration including rewrites and PHP configuration
Networking experience physical and virtual, including knowledge of VLANS, load balancing and Network layers is a huge plus
Nagios and SNMP experience is a plus
Excellent written, and oral communication skills
Ability to work within multiple teams in a collaborative team environment
Ability to work in a fast paced consultative environment
Ability to perform all work in a professional and expeditious manner with an eye toward uncompromising customer service
Must have full authorization to work fulltime in the U.S. without restriction.
