This individual is responsible for retrieving medical records for the physicians to complete, re-analyzing the medical records, and deleting/revising the medical record deficiencies with the computer system.
Provide to the physicians their incomplete medical records. Re-analyze medical records for completeness based upon NJDOH requirements and JCAHO standards. Ensure the deficiencies are modified within the computerized incomplete medical record system.
MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Two years of Health Information Management experience is required.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent customer service skills, communication skills, and computer skills.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIY
The successful candidate will have knowledge of medical record documentation and requirements as well as experience with hospital forms and patient flow.
