Religious Studies/Philosophy Faculty

College of DuPage seeks one full-time, tenure-track faculty member to teach a wide range of Religious Studies courses (typically Introduction to Religion and World Religions), as well as some introductory Philosophy courses. Special interest in teaching and developing courses in non-Western religions, religion and culture, or religion and gender a plus. Additional duties include advising students, curriculum development and committee work. Opportunities may exist to teach a flexible schedule that may include teaching assignments on days, evening and weekends.

DUTIES OF POSITION:
  • Master’s Degree in a Religious Studies-related discipline or Philosophy required.
  • College-level teaching experience is required; community college teaching experience is preferred.
  • Experience with classroom technology is required. Familiarity with alternative delivery, including online instruction, is a plus.
Ability to develop programs which serve the needs of students and community, ability to work collaboratively with professional colleagues, demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional growth are required.

This position is available August 2013. Starting salaries are dependent on education and experience. College of DuPage also offers a generous benefits plan.
