To provide implementation of water resources sampling and testing programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under direction, collects water samples from swimming beaches, drinking water wells, and streams.
Assists with lake sampling, stream sampling, wetland delineations, aquatic macrophyte monitoring, and laboratory analysis.
Under direction, assists with data entry and analysis as well as conducting aquatic vegetation surveys on lakes.
Determines bacteria levels in samples.
High School Graduate or Graduate Equivalency Degree (GED) and at least one year of experience or related training OR any combination of education and experience equal to the above. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. Previous Three Rivers Park District experience preferred.
Must be available to work from April 15, 2013 to October 18, 2013.
