Responsible for monitoring the efficiency and timeliness of the workflow to ensure that client processing deadlines and requirements are met. In this role, the Payroll Operations Manager will ensure that required department reports are prepared on a timely basis and participate in weekly management meetings. The Payroll Operations Manager will develop and foster a department focused on providing a high level of customer services and quality consistently.
Conducts regular staff meetings to insure information flow and periodic 1:1 meetings with staff.
Arranges necessary training of all staff to provide adequate backup for essential functions of the department.
Coordinates information sharing between departments to maintain an efficient and practical approach to the over-all delivery of payroll services and training to internal and external customers.
Support and coordination of new clients with the new accounts department and sales staff.
Manages department attrition to company established goals and procedures- (hire/fire authority)
Monitors and reports on department productivity
Ability to develop and maintain positive business relationships with clients, vendors, peers and staff with internal and external clients which fosters an environment for mutual respect, understanding and support between all departments.
On-going and consistent implementation of Company Policies.
Develops and mentors department personnel through honesty, objectivity, fairness and understanding.
Provide performance reviews on required time schedule

Bachelors Degree (preferred but not required)
Minimum four (4) years in a payroll processing environment- ideally within Payroll Service Bureau or Professional Employer Organization
Experience with FW Davison- HR Pyramid
Payroll Tax knowledge a must, CPP desired
Ability to train and develop others, with strong commitment to fostering teamwork
