Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems preferred. Proven related experience and/or appropriate certifications accepted in lieu of degree.

Experience: Two (2) years experience in programming and/or Systems required with multiple platforms preferred. Must have broad technical knowledge of at least one network operating systems multiple preferred.

Licensure: None

Equipment Used/Special Skills Required:

High level of analytical and problem solving skills required. Customer-oriented interpersonal skills required to work effectively with a wide variety of individuals. Intermediate knowledge of data structures and general computer hardware/software required. Knowledge of multiple programming languages and operating systems preferred. Lawson experience preferred.

Position Summary:

Understands integration between applications and downstream impacts. Manages applications at the server level, e.g., starting and stopping services, checks error logs and resolves issues, works with vendors to troubleshoot and support applications. Supports multiple third party and internally developed applications to include data content and structure, interfaces and system interactions, and data conversion. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives, converts user requirements and needs into detailed technical specification documents, defines and creates document and program flows, creates and maintains knowledge base. Has the ability to analyze and interpret normal and abnormal software behavior, troubleshoots unexpected data results (interface, data, set up, etc.). Assists with the development of first line (technical) testing, uat including test scripts, documentation of results, integration testing, participates in long-term strategy planning. Must have the ability to interact with end users and lead meetings. Defines, documents, and creates simple end user and audit reports. Must have familiarity with operating systems, e.g., SQL Server, Windows Server and Unix; understands relational databases, e.g., MS SQL, Oracle, third party proprietary. Utilizes various reporting tools such as Crystal Reports, Reporting Workbench, Clarity, Cognos, SQL-based queries, HL7 Mapping.
