Job Description: The Lubrication Business is one of the SKF USA ID platforms with tremendous growth potential and is looking for a Sales Engineer to support this growth. The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for developing Technical relationships along with high value customer projects supporting the lubrication platform. The candidate will be responsible for Account Management and the technical sales process in a number of OEM accounts. The individual selected for this position will be part of a team based selling organization and will help prioritize the efforts of customer service, applications engineering, and other platform resources. The candidate will be responsible for generating opportunities and managing customer projects together with the Sales Teams and customers to meet the market demands with a Value added solution. Key Accountabilities * Meet or exceed sales and profitability targets in line with the business plan and strategic direction of ID Sales USA. Also work in close cooperation with the ID Account Management teams. * Strengthen current relationships and develop further long-term commercial and technical relationships within the account base. * Maintain and develop in depth technical expertise in the lubrication platform * Promote knowledge exchange between lubrication systems competency centers (CoE & LAC) and ID Account Management teams in a proactive way. * Provide local engineering support as needed. * Grow sales of value added lubrication system solutions. * Lead multi-functional teams on selected customer projects
Job Requirements * A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical preferred * Minimum of 5 years technical sales experience * Self-motivated and execution focused with an ability to meet deadlines * Enjoy working in a team environment without losing focus on target achievement * Experience in Six Sigma and project management experience preferred * Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, fluent in English * Demonstrated achievement in past commercial or technical roles * Working knowledge of Siebel or similar Customer Relation Management (CRM) application * Relevant experience in lubrication systems considered a plus * Must be willing to travel at least 50% or as customer needs dictate.
