Engineer will provide instrumentation, electrical and control system support for a biotherapeutics manufacturing facility. Specific expertise should include Allen-Bradley controls (PLC / CLX, HMI, drive systems). Engineering responsibilities will include consulting, specification and detailed design of site electrical and control systems, management of equipment suppliers & contractors as it relates to control systems, evaluation & acceptance of newly procured equipment / systems, implementation & testing of newly installed systems and technical support for the qualification of new equipment / systems. Engineer will work closely with other engineering disciplines and departments to accomplish the project objectives.

sponsibilities: Requires a BS in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science and at least six (6) years applicable engineering experience in design and specification of equipment for process control systems and control applications preferably in the biotech / pharmaceutical industries. Knowledge of low voltage power supply systems, grounding, and wiring techniques for both signal and power is required, as well as, a working knowledge of motor controls. Control system experience must include installation, configuration and programming of PLC and SCADA systems, as well as relevant controls networking. Must have strong technical problem solving skills, abstract conceptual design abilities, solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently to fulfill objectives and goals. Knowledge of cGMP, OSHA and regulatory compliance desired. Q

ualifications: Work is performed in an office and a laboratory/manufacturing environment. Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms. Exposed to occasional extreme cold below 32* in production areas. Exposure to electrical office and laboratory equipment. Personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear, garments and gloves. Frequently sits for 4-6 hours per day. Stands for 2-4 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Ability to make precise coordinated movements, of the fingers to grasp and manipulate objects. Occasionally walks. Occasionally bends and twists neck and waist. Repetitive foot movements. Color perception/discrimination, depth perception and far vision correctable in one eye to 20/30 and to 20/100 in the other eye. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 50lbs. Able to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken and written words and sentences. Performs tasks by following a set of written or oral instructions/procedures.
