The Hospice Administrator has the authority from the governing body to perform her/his responsibilities for operating the agency. Responsible for the day to day operations of Hospice.
The Hospice Administrator will:
Plan, organize, and direct the provision of patient services to achieve the mission, goals, and objectives of Hospice.
Develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships among the nursing staff, professional support staff and the medical staff.
Ensure that appropriate standards of patient care and nursing practice are established and implemented, and are consistent with current nursing theory and regulatory requirements.
Facilittates the provision of end of life care in a cost effective manner in the patient's residence.
The Hospice Administrator performs duties in accordance of and under the direction/supervision as defined by the Agency's organizational chart.
High School Diploma and a Bachelors Degree in Nursing required. A Masters Degree in Health Care or related field preferred.
Minimum of four years of Home Care administration experience in Hospice required. Minimum of 1 year of patient care experience in Hospice required.
RN or related Health Care Licensure in TN, Driver's License in TN and CPR required.
