Under administrative direction, this position performs administrative work planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the work of the Gas Pipeline Division of the Public Service Commission. This position directs professional, technical and clerical staff through a subordinate manager level position. Specific duties may include: directs the daily operation of the division and sets the division's objectives; develops, plans, evaluates and implements complex technical procedures; develops work standards and policies of the division; oversees the compliance of regulatory standards, state and federal laws and regulations relevant to the gas pipeline industry, including pipeline inspections and audits; coordinates the work of the division with other government and regulatory entities; provides expert technical consultation and policy interpretation in regard to gas pipeline safety; prepares or oversees the preparation of special reports; and performs other related duties as required. ***the public service commission has established a salary range of $50,676 to $103 1 731 for this classification.

Training: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited fouryear college or university with a major or minor in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, management, engineering or closely related field or admission to the practice of law in West Virginia.

Substitution: Experience as described below may substitute for the required training on a year-for-year basis except for the admission to the practice of law.

Experience: Seven years of full-time or equivalent paid part-time professional experience in a regulated utility, utility regulatory agency, utility consultation, public/business administration, or in accounting or auditing, or engineering, two years of which must have been in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
Experience related to Gas transmission, regulation, or Gas Pipeline Safety very desirable.

Substitution: Master's Degree in the above areas or approval as a Certified Public Accountant may substitute for two years of the required general experience.
