The role: Test Engineering Manager
As a Test Engineering Manager at Google you will be building, leading and managing a team of Software Engineers in Test and Test Engineers, while working with our development teams and product management staff to release scalable and innovative products. As a highly skilled technical engineering manager with a strong background in software engineering, you will be responsible for driving the overall planning, execution, tracking and delivery of critical projects.
Responsibilities:
Create the next generation of testing tools, techniques, and infrastructure to increase the speed of release cycles and allow for constant high quality of web-based applications.
Build and manage a Test Engineering team to meet the needs of products under development.
Foster collaboration between different teams for successful releases.
Mentor junior members of the team in software development, testing methods, and analysis.
Requirements:
BSc degree preferred with a strong academic record (Msc or Ph.D a plus.)
Strong development management or testing management experience with a proven track record in scaling highly technical teams.
Experience in building testing frameworks, tools and automation within a large scale enterprise environment.
Strong project management skills including experience managing in an agile / test driven environment.
High technical competence with current hands on coding skills in C++, Java or Python being essential.
Proven track record for high quality product delivery demonstrating your penchant for technology.
Deep knowledge of internet technologies, protocols and application delivery for web-based applications
