American Airlines is looking for a Sr Database Engineer to support our implementation of Siebel Loyalty The person in this role will have systemwide responsibility for the OLTP database that supports the loyalty program Responsibilities will include monitoring the databases and working with our Performance testing team in order to take appropriate steps to improve and tune the database Scope of control also includes performing physical modeling construction monitoring and providing feedback to development staff regarding effective SQL use Qualifications The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years experience in the following areas · Experience with Oracle 11G RAC and ASM · Experience with very Large OLTP systems with high transaction rates · Proactive monitoring and tuning of the DBMS in OLTP environments for optimal performance At least five years should be Oracle specific · Experience with PLSQL Oracle Partitioning Parallel Queries RMAN Oracle Security and UNIX scripting required · Physical database modeling using tools such as ERwin and developing physical database models from logical models · Should be able to communicate and work equally well with Developers (onshore and offshore) Business Analysts and Project Managers · Experience with the Siebel CRM data model and other previous Siebel implementation experience is a big plus · Airline industry or customer data knowledge is a plus · Potential candidates must have a degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field If youre interested in this role please submit your application by going to wwwaacareerscom httpwwwaacareerscom and search for Requisition 1200374 (Sr Database Engineer)
