SUMMARY: The Sales Analyst will be responsible for supporting the sales organizations achievement of forecast and Objectives, Goals, Strategies, and Measures (OGSM) by providing exceptional analytical support to a specific customer, customer focus team, and/or sales channel. The Sales Analyst will review and translate customer, consumer, category, and product level data into actionable tactics. The Sales Analyst will make recommendations on product assortment, product placement, and promotions accordingly in order to enhance sales at the customer level.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Regularly provide current sales trend information, analysis and insights, to support in driving and developing the team's customer plan
Analyze and utilize data from multiple sources (customer POS, syndicated, internal) to develop solid, actionable recommendations that address specific sales goals/objectives
Maintain a deep understanding of product, customer, and marketplace trends based on the analysis of various data sources
Strong ability to influence internal and external decision makers to achieve OGSM and customer business plans
Support the needs of all functional areas of the Customer Focused Team including Sales, Category Management, Supply Chain and Demand Planning
Analyze Trade Promotion effectiveness to determine greatest ROI and best tactic to maximize promotional sales results
Demonstrate ability to create fact-based presentations to translate sales data to achieve objectives that align with customer strategy
Track weekly promotional activities from customers; comparing trade and corporate events vs. prior year to assess insights and trends
Proactively plan meetings with sales team and headquarter partners to share key learnings and advise on best practices
Provide input and recommendations to plans around distribution, merchandising, pricing, and planogram placement
Develop effective sales presentations
Partner in providing recommendations on New Item Launch planning using Market Research, impact from competitive products, data sources, and customer intelligence to serve sales plans
Track sales by product groups and/or sku level to identify product group success and/or underperformance: incremental vs. base, source of volume, draw assumptions
OTHER NECESSARY FUNCTIONS:
Follows all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by GMCR and the department.
Performs other duties as requested by management.QUALIFICATIONS:
BS/BA degree with at least 5+ years of sales, category, or business analyst experience.
Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy
Proficient in CRM tools, and syndicated data systems (Nielsen, IRI)
Ability to complete projects and organize work independently
Develop business recommendations that contribute to maximizing sales plans and customer support
Demonstrated success in sales, category management and analytics supporting key accounts
Must be completely PC proficient, strong ability to be able to develop his/her own oral and visual presentations, spreadsheets and general correspondence
Ability to work within a matrix organization while working with multiple Account Managers/Sales Directors to discuss and prioritize work initiatives

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
The Sales Analyst III should expect 15 to 20% travel.
