Sr. Test Automation Engineer
We are in search of Sr. Quality Engineer with 5-8 years of experience working in the mobility domain with Android or Windows platform. The candidate will be responsible for defining test strategy, test methodology as well as leading, testing and managing the test execution and results on Intel products.
He/she should be experienced in development and implementation of test automation and tools for validating various interfaces across each of the components. Responsibilities will also include analyzing HW/SW quality, identifying potential problems early in the product life cycle and ensure that the product quality issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Ideal candidate be able to work independently and come up with solutions on their own.
Knowledge and Skills
-Experience developing shell scripts in Unix or Linux platforms
-Experience with creating test plans and test cases
-Experience with QA processes and tools, test management systems, QA automation, analyzing bug trends
-Using software quality assurance tools and processes.
-Software testing methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
-Experience with design for software and firmware running on multiple platform types
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options with 3rd party developers and testers.
-Work closely with ODM and OEM developers and develop and maintain white box and automation test scenarios and frameworks. Analyzes and writes test procedures and standards.
-Develops and maintains Unix/Linux shell scripts
-Assume ownership of all phases, including design, implementation, execution, maintenance, and expansion of existing and new test framework in different environments.
-Solid knowledge of Android and/or windows platform fundamentals
-Analyze failed tests and manage bugs using the bug reporting tool
-Familiarity with jira and selenium is a plus
-Leads a project team of other software quality assurance engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable and cost-effective testing and quality assurance solutions for assigned applications portion or subsystem
-Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding test status, project progress, and issue resolution
-Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
