EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Kutztown University Foundation and Alumni Engagement is a University-related private not-for-profit organization established in 1983 to serve as the development, fundraising and alumni engagement activities operation for Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, a member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. KU is located adjacent to the borough of Kutztown in a charming rural setting and is within 30 minutes driving time of the diverse metropolitan areas Allentown, Bethlehem and Reading, and is within 60 minutes of the Philadelphia metropolitan area and 2 hours of New York City. The KU Foundation is very interested in hiring employees who have had extensive experience with diverse populations.

Kutztown University Foundation and Alumni Engagement is seeking an EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR to provide institutional leadership of the Foundation's development, fundraising and alumni engagement operations in concert with the President, administration and faculty of Kutztown University. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors of Kutztown University Foundation, Inc. and is responsible for the management and success of all Foundation fundraising programs including: annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, special events, corporate and foundation giving, grants, and capital gifts. A key element of this responsibility is the management of a personal portfolio of major gift prospects. The Executive Director is also responsible for all alumni engagement functions, activities and events. The Executive Director will oversee the execution of the Foundation's strategic plan and work closely with the University administration to align Foundation strategies and objectives with University goals.

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred. Minimum ten years' experience with progressive responsibilities preferred; evidence of successful fundraising required. Expertise in higher education is a plus.

Demonstrated success managing and directing alumni programs required. Significant experience managing budgets and staff necessary. Successful candidate will possess strong team-building, planning and problem-solving skills and will exhibit superior communications skills, both verbal and written, at every level of the organization.
