Sales Desk Manager
Utilizing extensive knowledge of life insurance products, current technology, as well as an understanding of division and channel goals, the Sales Desk Manager is responsible for overseeing all Life Insurance Prime Sales Desk and Long Term Care Sales Desk activities to achieve or exceed production success measures for Prime and PremierCare products. Develops short and long term strategies and oversees all desk operations to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness. Leads a staff of Internal Wholesalers , Case Managers, and a Long Term Care Supervisor. Builds and maintains relationships with Financial Professionals, Field Sales Staff, and Internal partners. Develops and implements new sales and marketing strategies for the Prime and PremierCare products in collaboration with National Sales Managers and Home Office Management. Seeks customer feedback across all areas of operations to ensure process improvements, problem resolution, training, communication, etc. are being implemented.
FACTORS FOR SUCCESS:
Minimum 7 years sales management experience within the financial services industry, preferably with life insurance. Able to work effectively in a team environment and facilitate positive communication with staff and other departments. Able to think strategically in building on a vision for a new product channel. Proven interpersonal and motivational skills with the ability to work with customers and foster business relationships. Able to motivate, develop, and coach direct reports through developmental opportunities and disciplinary issues. Able to adapt to and work within the constantly changing and learning atmosphere within the Company. Must be technologically savvy, including understanding of Mobile solutions. Proven ability to leverage technology to develop others. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Project management skills a plus. Proficient in the use of personal computers, specialized software, and Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must have Series 6 & 26 licenses or obtain within 6 months of hire. College degree preferred.
