Supervise, train and inspect the performance of assigned Laundry Attendants, and Valet Attendants. Ensure that all procedures are completed to the hotel's standards. Assist where necessary to ensure optimum service to employees.
1 year experience in laundry/dry cleaning position.
Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and chemical handling, requirements and use of equipment.
High school graduate.
Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal.
Compute mathematical calculations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
Anticipate guest & resident needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
Maintain positive guest & resident relations at all times.
Resolve guest & resident complaints, ensuring guest’s satisfaction.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
Ensure that assigned staffs have reported to work; document any late or absent employees.
Coordinate breaks for assigned staff.
Prepare and distribute assignment sheets to assigned staff and review priorities.
Communicate additions or changes to the assignment sheets as they arise throughout the shift.
Check supply levels in storage closets. Complete requisition for additional supplies needed and submit to manager.
Check for proper supplies, neatness, cleanliness and mechanical problems. Instruct designated personnel to correct deficiencies.
Complete work orders for maintenance repairs and submit to manager/assistant manager. Contact Engineering directly for urgent repairs.
Accommodate guest requests for Housekeeping items or additional supplies expediently and courteously. Follow up on delivery and return of all such items per management request.
Conduct training of staff as assigned.
Provide feedback on staff performance to manager. Report disciplinary problems to manager and participate in the counseling of employees.
Document pertinent information in department log book.
Complete all paperwork and closing duties before leaving. Review status of assignments and any follow-up action with manager and/or on-coming supervisor.
