The Graphic Designer will assist in the support of MWI’s branding and marketing efforts by providing graphic design support and producing materials, images, and communications to market MWI’s products, services, and programs.
While MWI’s Graphic Designers collaborate on many projects, each designer has an area of particular emphasis. These areas of emphasis are categorized as follows:
o Ad Materials: Design and produce MWI’s monthly customer newsletter, the “MWI Messenger” for both print and digital media.
o Production: Produce catalogs for MWI, SECUROS, AAHA MARKETLink and specialty divisions within MWI. Provide graphic design assistance to support the Human Resources and Events departments of MWI.
o Branding – Create marketing materials to support MWI (Annual Reports for example), MWI’s Services (Pharmacy, Inventory Management, etc.) and its divisions (AAHA MARKETLink, Micro, SECUROS, etc).
Regardless of the emphasis, all Graphic Designers at MWI are responsible for the following:
o Solicit, acquire, edit, and maintain graphic images for use in marketing materials.
o Evaluate quality, pricing, and relationships with printing/fulfillment partners on a continuous basis to ensure that MWI is achieving the optimum value in marketing production.
o Act as liaison between printers and other marketing vendors to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
o Support the graphic design projects of other designers as necessary, working as a team to support group goals.
o Value accuracy, appropriateness, creativity, and innovation in developing materials that effectively communicate the given message.
Minimum Experience and Education:
Typically three or more years experience in marketing support; a college degree is preferred. Experience with design and print production, design software (such as Quark, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), presentation software (such as PowerPoint), web design and publishing, and digital photography and image manipulation is necessary.
