Drives company vehicle to provide prompt, courteous delivery, patient instruction, and set-up of home medical equipment. - Delivers medical equipment to nursing home patients and homebound patients as directed by the Site Manager, Dispatcher, other designated company representative or customer. - Schedules, organizes, and performs delivery set-ups, patient instruction, and pick-ups in accordance with the patient and patient's family, physician's and referral source's request and expectations. - Ensures the cleanliness and condition of medical equipment and supplies meet company standards and the needs of patients and referral sources. - Maintains, organizes, and ensures that deliver vehicles are operational, receive necessary maintenance, are clean and meet regulatory standards. - Ensures delivery vehicles are stocked with appropriate supplies, safety, personal protective and cleaning equipment. - Processes invoices to correct patient accounts, ensuring delivery ticket/information is complete and accurately documented for tracking, billing, and inventory purposes. - Takes steps to ensure adequate inventory levels to include purchasing, pricing, stocking, ordering, and processing of utilized equipment and supplies. - Ensures company records, files, and documentation is accurate and completed in a timely manner. - Performs necessary equipment maintenance and keep record of said maintenance. - Attends and conducts inservices, workshops and meetings as necessary. - Listens to and resolves service complaints. - Perform or assist with other duties and projects as needed.- Maintains proper records to comply with all federal, state, and local laws.Competencies:- Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Develops alternative solutions.- Customer Service - Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.- Interpersonal - Focuses on solving conflict, not blaming; Maintains confidentiality; Listens to others without interrupting; Keeps emotions under control; Remains open to others' ideas and tries new things.- Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions.- Team Work - Exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; Gives and welcomes feedback; Contributes to building a positive team spirit; Puts success of team above own interests; Supports everyone's efforts to succeed.- Written Communication - Able to read and interpret written information.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; or - Experience: 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.- Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees of organizations. - Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Certifications/Licenses: - Must possess a valid driver's license with no serious driving infractions in the previous seven years (i.e. DUI, DWI, multiple high-speed citations, etc.).
