A Postdoctoral Associate position is available in the lab of Dr. Greg Valdez at the Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute. This position will seek to uncover molecular mechanisms that function to protect the motor system, in particular the neuromuscular junction, during normal aging and the progression of diseases including amytophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
