The Senior Merchandise Planner is responsible for the development and maintenance of merchandise plans, ensuring the plan fits the expected goals ( sales, margin and inventory) for the assigned categories and supports the overall objectives of the company. Responsible for planning by the elements of sales, margin and inventory that balance to the product plans by month. Accountable for a frequent review of the assigned category management teams plans to make recommended adjustments to improve profitability and/or productivity of assigned categories. This individual is accountable for managing the asset and memo open-to-buy for all assigned categories to ensure business maximization and the achievement of overall company goals. In addition to merchandise planning responsibilities, a Sr. Merchandise Planner will be responsible for additional areas of responsibility as defined by planning management. The additional responsibility may include managing channel plans across the organization ( i.e. outlet, e-commerce, etc.), management of unskud inventory or other attributes planning.
4-year Business Degree required; JDA/Arthur Planning experience or other planning system experience required; 6-8+ years of Retail/Planning Experience required; Microstrategy, Business Objects/Business Warehouse experience preferred; Proficient with MS Office Suite; Take ownership of the CMTs businesses; Add value to the company/CMTs; Continually improve skills, effectiveness and leadership.
