WHO ARE YOU?
Provides expertise, installation, support and direction on client network issues including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, security, virus prevention, backups, disaster recovery, email, and general network performance
Installs and supports client LAN and WAN infrastructure including switches, routers, and firewalls.
Works closely with clients to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operation of network client workstations, servers, and all related peripherals.
Primarily responsible for installation, configuration, repair and replacement of workstation, servers, switches, and routers, and other hardware components and software applications.
Performs formal system design bases on IS management methodologies
Applies Quality Control and Quality Assurance principles
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to individuals varying various technical ability
Writes and maintains complete and concise technical project documentation
Presents training presentations on multiple technical levels
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Experience with Microsoft server operating systems and services, including Active Directory, File and Print, Exchange, IIS, SQL, WSUS, permissions, and security
Experience with Microsoft desktop applications and operating systems
Experience with server virtualization technologies
Experience with enterprise backup and disaster recovery technology and methodology
Experience with network protocols, design and maintenance
Experience with PC and server hardware, including desktops, notebooks, servers, SANS, tape libraries, and server racks.
Experienced in best practices for Microsoft systems and Cisco and Dell networking products.
Understanding of general business issues including external factors that impact the business and industry.
Demonstrated ability to follow sound business ethics when executing job responsibilities to build and maintain management confidence.
Strong technical skills
Bachelor's degree preferred.
