Exeter Government Services is seeking a senior-level Java Engineer proficient in web services, to lead both current migration to JBoss and further engineering and development efforts. The task is intended to run in an Agile/SCRUM model but will be fine-tuned in the coming month.

Additional planned tasks for this effort include complete migration away from ColdFusion, implementing Splunk, researching and implementing scalability through JMS or JQ, and migrating components to cloud architectures.

Exeter is looking for someone that will be able to begin with this task and take expertise across to multiple projects and tasks supporting NIST's Computer Security Division in cyber security research including (a) supporting development tasks involved with the NCCoE - a research lab of engineers testing new technologies and architectures in cloud environments, (b) support the migration and further development of the CCE - (c) support new development efforts that directly support NIST's RMF and cyber tools development for multiple sectors including Energy, HealthIT, Transportation and others.

Ideal candidate will serve as Java lead and possess expertise in Spring JMS, Batch, JQuery and implementation of web services. Expertise in CM/build-release functions, code reviews, documentation, as well as experience with SOAP, XML, ESBs also a plus.
