The Executive Housekeeper is directly responsible for monitoring all phases of Housekeeping operations to ensure clean, orderly and attractive guest areas and ensuring compliance with company standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage Housekeeping staff and ensures adequate staffing levels.
2. Initiates and issues appropriate disciplinary action as necessary.
3. Inspects guest room areas on many tours of the hotel complex and instructs employee(s) as to discrepancies found.
4. Issues maintenance work orders and follows up until completion.
5. Directly oversees the performance of the Assistant Executive Housekeeper(s).
6. Monitors the progress of special cleaning projects and installation of new furniture.
7. Monitors equipment preventative maintenance programs.
8. Other related duties as assigned.
Responsible for the overall directions, coordination and evaluation of the Housekeeping staff. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and planning budgets and controlling payroll costs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate’s Degree or equivalent required. One year related experience in a casino, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess and be able to maintain the applicable regional Gaming card(s) and/or License(s), if any.
Must be able to effectively communicate in English. Must be able to read and write simple lists, interoffice memorandums, and business correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
