Job Summary
The position oversees all aspects of solutions architecture and development for ITS software development in the domain of identity management and related Middleware; the incumbent is responsible for coordinating and managing scope, estimations and delivery of multiple small to large-scale projects to achieve desired organization goals and benefits; provides expertise and advice for the organization and delivery of software application related services and systems to clients; and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline with an information technology focus; J2E development, preferably using Spring, Hibernate, Struts, JMX, Tomcat, JDOM; identity Management middleware using TIM/TAM, LDAP, and Active Directory; solid understanding of the software development lifecycle process; highly organized and thorough, with an ability to facilitate communication and scheduling among different levels of staff; demonstrable experience building and managing successful project and technical teams; strong leadership and development skills needed; prioritize effectively according to department needs and ability to organize a large number of changing variables; communication, writing and inter-personal abilities, including skills such as attitude, diplomacy and persuasiveness, analytical ability, strong judgment and managerial skills; previous supervisory experience; knowledge of security best practices as well as encryption; 5+ years experience managing and directing a technical team, preferably a software development team; experience should include employee career development, conducting employee reviews, and implementation of processes and metrics that improve team performance; 3+ years experience in architecture, development methodologies and delivery of solutions; 8+ years experience of progressive broad-based information systems development and delivery of solutions; 5+ years experience with different authentication mechanisms (e.g. SAML, Kerberos); requires climbing stairs; pushing/pulling up to 31-60 pounds; reaching shoulder level and below; sitting, standing, walking; carrying/lifting 20 pounds; gripping/grasping; repetitive hand and arm movements of upper extremities.

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline with an information technology focus; experience development SOAP and REST web API’s; Perl development Oracle PL-SQL stored procedure and trigger development; automated software testing with Junit and Selenium; familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies;
build technologies such as Ant, Maven or others build tools.
