**TWO YEAR DEGREE AND MUST BE US CITIZEN TO OBTAIN GOVERNMENT MRPT SECURITY CLEARANCE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION**
Provide customer support to the employees of DoS while maintaining and monitoring payroll accounts for American employees assigned domestically or overseas. Explain federal rules and regulations both orally and in writing.
Research and resolve concerns such as non-payments, underpayments and overpayments.
Research and adjust leave accruals as necessary.
Enter adjustments pertaining to employee payroll information (tax withholding, personal information changes, savings plans) utilizing the DOS Consolidated American Payroll Processing System (CAPPS).
JOB REQUIREMENTS: MRPT clearance
Must have two year degree including courses in accounting related field.
Must have two years of relevant work experience in bookkeeping, accounting procedures required.
Solid knowledge of terminology, reconciliation, adjustments, postings and calculations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse, multi-cultural environment with respect and consideration for all involved in daily responsibilities.
Ability to work in a team formatted department with cross training for coverage of tasks.
Ability to work on your own, be self-motivated.
Ability to research topics and make decisions affecting tasks to meet required deadlines.
Ability to grasp new concepts and to successfully complete required onsite training.
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office products required.
Possess strong communication skills via written and verbal processes.
