ER Tech II
Assumes responsibility and accountability for the delivery of life support care to both the critically ill and injured in the pre-hospital and emergency department settings.
Education: Must possess a current E.M.T. or Paramedic License in the state of practice. Must have passed the national registry exam.
Experience: Desirable characteristics include at least one year of experience as a EMT/Paramedic in the field or other clinical setting. Must be able to follow directions and perform work according to departmental standards. Must be emotionally mature and function effectively under stress. Certification: Must obtain and maintain a current certification in CPR or BLS. Must complete required departmental competencies and meet any other departmental specific requirements within the departments worked.
