The Region Vice President of Sales responsibility is to manage the sales associates in his/her territory who are responsible for the sale of BT Conferencing solutions. The RVP of Sales is responsible for ensuring a winning approach which highlights BT Conferencing’s unique capabilities in solving the need(s) or problem(s) at hand for customers in targeted markets. A consulting approach is used to build solid customer relationships.

The RVP is expected to drive sales activities to assigned accounts within BT Conferencing’s strategic industries. Therefore, the RVP must develop a successful working relationship with both pre-sales resources and Operations delivery teams so that successful handoffs can take place, as well as problems/issues can be proactively identified and solved.

BT Conferencing utilizes the Sales Process to guide the sales organization through a successful sales cycle. The Sales RVP is responsible for ensuring that each sales associate fully participates and contributes when and where required during each phase of this process -- Account Planning, Opportunity Qualification, Proposal Creation, Contract/Order Management, Post-Sales Activities. All tasks/activities are completed by the sales associate for the purpose of securing an increasing flow of profitable orders and revenue for BT Conferencing.

The RVP must be disciplined in Sales Management and is expected to accurately forecast and drive revenue and gross margin results for his/her region through timely reporting. The RVP must be skilled in developing relationships with key business partners to effectively sell “with” manufacturers in joint accounts. The RVP must be skilled in mentoring sales associate behavior and provide feedback on performance using Performance Management process. Finally, the RVP is expected to provide thought leadership as to where BT Conferencing should focus sales efforts to more effectively market its value-add.

  • 5-7 years sales experience selling solutions and services
  • 3-5 years in sales management
  • 2-4 years experience working in the information technology industry
networking and video experience a plus especially IP Communications

  • Knowledge of the services industry
  • Success working in “high-touch” channel model a plus
  • Experience working in team-oriented sales approaches
  • Consulting experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree minimum required / Business Administration, Marketing,
or Computer Science major a plus
