JOB TITLE: Product Partner Manager
LOCATION: Tysons Corner, VA
REPORTS TO: Vice President of Product Solutions
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsibilities will be to generate revenue from lead sources and develop new business in a defined manufacturer partner territory. The selected candidates will assist MicroTech in achieving margin sales targets by acting as the first point-of-contact for manufacturer partner, field sales representatives, and alliance personnel. Work with the MicroTech Alliance personnel focused on same manufacturer territory as a collaborative team to support the MicroTech sales organization.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Analyzing end customer needs in terms of current business objectives and in support of MicroTech personnel in field sales, technical, business development, and management roles. • Understand manufacturer partner channel strategies including distribution methods and work with channel partners associated with and required by manufacturer partners • Respond to all qualified pricing requests from end customers, as well as assist with larger program related capture efforts of other divisions of the company • Produce Win/Loss reports and follow up communications on outstanding quotes • Obtain and maintain sales certification associated with given manufacturer partner territory • Presenting & articulating advanced product features, benefits, and overall product solutions to end customers and assist field sales with similar detail • Developing & managing reference manufacturers through high quality technical & professional client relationships • Engaging in regular monthly and quarterly business reviews and weekly forecast activities • Performing data entry into company CRM system for lead sources, & other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS: • BA/BS degree preferred with 2+ years relevant business/IT sales experience (federal government marketplace experience is desired) • Exceptional sales skills (verbal and written communication skills, and proven negotiation techniques) • Knowledge of information technology (IT) industry (networking, software products, markets, technology direction) desired • Ability to communicate with technical audiences • Must be motivated to have an impact on our product solutions sales and our company
