Professional, fast paced, and stable company is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator. Candidate will perform hands-on administration of Linux Servers, coordinate systems operations activities, and furnish the organization with data security, reliability, and accessibility.

The candidate must have 3 - 5 years of experience supporting Linux Servers in a medium to large scale environment. We are looking for an employee who is detail-oriented, has strong communication skills, and is a proactive team member. Skills needed for this position include the ability to coordinate and interface with multiple business units and aggressively follow up on details. We need professionals who can perform independently, as well as work within a team environment.

Minimum requirements include:
Proficient with multiple flavors of Linux (preferably Debian and CentOS), including system installation, administration, and maintenance Scripting experience using Perl or Shell Experience with web Servers such as Apache Maintain operating software such as OS, applications, library versions, etc Ability to understand and manage complex systems Closely control the production environment to ensure stability and uptime Experience with monitoring software, such as Zenoss or Nagios Plan for capacity growth Maintain system up time 99.99% Monitor networks and security to ensure stability Ability to diagnose network problems Data Backups DNS and DHCP Provide system performance tuning System Monitoring including server system logs, messages, and alerts Participation in on-call rotation May require extended availability as needed Desired skills include:
Technical knowledge of email (postfix, qmail or Sendmail), BIND, NFS, NTP, etc. Experience with OpenLDAP Knowledge of network security, Firewalls, switching, and connectivity options Ability to design, implement, and support high availability solutions Firewall/VPN Administration (preferably Cisco ASA) Knowledge of the following software/hardware: Virtualization, MySQL, Postgres, Puppet, Postfix, Solr, ActiveMQ, IMAP, Load balancers
