Carry out voltage-clamp and current-clamp recording in mouse brain slices to monitor neuroanal activity at the level of single cell and network.

Perform Western blot and Immunoprecipitation using mouse brain tissue to examine molecular mechanisms underlying the changes of neuronal activity.

Design audiogenic seizure testing protocol and perform intraperitoneal drug injection and audiogenic test on knockout mice.

Collect electrophysiological data using pClamp software and biochemistry data using ImageJ software.

Perform data analysis and prepare graphs for publication using Origin software.

Maintain mouse colony of knockout mice in DLAR, including breeding, weaning, and genotyping and make them available for lab use.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED: PhD in Neuroscience; Active research grant application record; Knowledge in cellular, molecular, and behavioral mechanisms of epilepsy; Practical skills in: biophysical study of nerve cells, protein biochemistry, molecular biology techniques, in vivo animal behavioral studies including epilepsy; Independent ability in experimental planning, analysis, and write-up.
