We are looking for a Web Operations Engineer to join our tech team The ideal candidate should have experience with Linux systems and a strong preference for open source solutions About the Job Administration of development QA and production environments Setup and automation of Linux servers Participate in a 247 oncall rotation Collaborate with development teams regarding high availability scalability and infrastructure design in an Agile environment Monitoring of servers and processes About You Experienced with Linux distributions (CentOS Fedora Ubuntu) Good understanding of filesystems networking firewalls Apache Nginx MySQL and standard Linux utilities Knowledge of TCPIP and common application protocols (HTTP DNS LDAP NTP SMTP) Knowledge of a programming language (Perl Python Ruby PHP) Experience with version control software (git svn) Experience with monitoring (Nagios Zenoss Zabbix) Experience with virtual machines (xen kvm vmware) Willingness to learn new technologies in a fast pace environment BS in computer science or engineering or equivalent experience Nice to have PuppetChef MCollective Hadoop MongoDB RabbitMQActiveMQZeroMQ libvirt AWS EC2 Solr GlusterFS MogileFS
