AREVA Solar is seeking a Senior Performance Engineer for our Mountain View, CA location. This qualified individual will support the Business Development group.
Run AREVA Solar Proprietary heat balance modeling software.
Work with Gate Cycle and other heat balance software to model plant performance.
Integrate AREVA modeling software into Proposal / Estimating process.
Work with Business Development team to develop customer proposals and data requests.
Develop estimates and other technical data as needed to facilitate sales process.
Participate in client meetings.
Act as lead thermal technical expert.
Work closely with AREVA Solar engineering team to optimize software for application speed and robustness.
TYPICAL PROJECTS MAY INCLUDE:
Various product applications including stand alone power plant design, existing plant enhancements (boosters), and process applications.
Moderate: Routine with some international travel required. Valid USA Passport required.

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
Engineering degree (BSME or BSChE), plus a minimum of 10 years of Power Equipment thermal design experience.
Heat transfer theory, Circulation theory, and general power cycle design experience.
Plant design software experience (ex. KRAVAL or GATECycle).
Minimum 2 years of Management experience of Engineering and Proposal/Estimating personnel.
The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.
Strong EXCEL skills. Database experience desirable.
MBA with financial focus.
