Provide accurate, responsive, and efficient HR consultation to assigned business units. Partners with managers and employees of assigned business units on a variety of human resource initiatives including employee relations, compensation and benefits, recruitment and retention, performance management, training and interpretation of HR policies and their applications. Consults with business unit management in the strategic planning process and development of human resources strategies that support the unit's business needs. The HR Generalist is under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Director " Promotes mission, vision and values of ESJH and Exempla Healthcare. " Actively fulfills Best in the Nation goals. " Assists and advises management and employees on correct interpretation of current Human Resources policies and procedures. " Supports the recruitment process for assigned business units, including job postings, screening applicants, conducting interviews, administering assessment tools, coordinating interviews, and extending job offers. " Maintains HR report card metrics for assigned business units and provides an overview of data to the business unit management team and site HR leadership. " Partners with business unit management team and site HR leadership to proactively identify workforce planning solutions and potential HR programs that will align with the strategic goals of the business units. " Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and provides summary of trends to the business unit management team and site HR leadership. " Assists the business unit management team with the on-boarding process of their new employees. " Provides information to managers and employees regarding compensation and benefit programs. " Makes salary exception recommendations for any new hires, transfers or promotions. " Assists the Human Resources Director with the implementation and communication of compensation market adjustments and compression adjustments. " Assists the Human Resources Director and/or the VP of Human Resources with conducting investigations and determining appropriate levels of corrective discipline as required. " Works closely with EOHS in the implementation and follow-up of leaves of absence, worker's compensation, and ADA issues. " Conducts Blue File Audits on a monthly basis to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and HR policy/procedures. " Provides education to assigned business units regarding HR policies, procedures, performance management, recruiting and selection, and retention. " Serves as a liaison between assigned business units and site HR leadership. " Completes other duties, responsibilities and projects as assigned.
" Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience " 4-5 years general Human Resources experience preferred " 2-3 years recruiting experience, preferably in the healthcare industry " A basic level of knowledge is required in employee relations, employment law/labor law, staffing/recruiting, compensation, government regulations, performance management, benefits, payroll, worker's compensation, and regulatory compliance " Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult and emotional issues " Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality " Ability to organize and prioritize work " Strong attention to detail " Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written " Excellent customer service skills
