The Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition ("OBIEE") Administrator will provide technical expertise and be responsible for infrastructure support on various Oracle applications deployed within American Tower that can be customized for various purposes (“Middleware technologies”). The responsibilities include the installation, configuration, maintenance and support of systems utilized for financial reporting, such as OBIEE and Oracle BI Publisher.
The incumbent must independently make needed day-to-day changes to the Middleware technologies.
The incumbent will lead and participate in high level team projects. To be effective in this role the candidate must understand the architecture of the solution and the infrastructure it utilizes.
Provide technical support of Middleware technologies by performing various tasks, including installation and configuration of new environments (e.g., development, QA and production).
Manage patches and upgrades, configuring, tuning and monitoring transaction queues.
Conduct promotion, deployment and troubleshooting of new code.
Perform daily monitoring and analysis of audit and error logs
Install and configure Middleware products such as Weblogic Server, OBIEE 11g, and Oracle BI Publisher 11g
Perform configuration-, release-, and change management activities as required by the Enterprise packaged solutions.
Support installation and maintenance of the Enterprise packaged solutions in production and non-production environments.
Install patches and upgrades.
Configure and administer the application, including user provisioning and maintenance.
Monitor status and activity of the Enterprise packaged solutions, generate and review product logs, and support/define report creation and execution.
Provide guidance regarding troubleshooting issues with end users, technical staff and/or the vendor to arrive at prompt solutions for critical problems.
Understand the affects the introduction of new system functionality will have on the solution and take appropriate action to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Provide technical implementation expertise and support in the maintenance and tuning of OBIEE environment.
Install, configure and manage OBIEE environments, including reports and dashboards.
Responsible for OBIEE administration, security, and repository maintenance.
Troubleshoot and resolve support issues in a timely manner as defined in SLAs.
Facilitate and implement infrastructure and application changes following all established process and procedures.
Set up environments for new projects with subject areas, folders, security and AD groups within the OBIEE environments
Install, configure, upgrade and patch ETL, DAC, BI server and BI deployment platform.
Manage and monitor RPD
Manage and monitor OBIEE cache and performance tuning
Manage and monitor Informatica repository and Workflows and designer tools.
Install, configure, upgrade and patch DAC servers.
Define and manage execution plans; define, tweak and manage subject areas.
Monitor Execution - ETL runs, security management, performance tuning.
Participate in requirements definition studies, develop workflows of current and proposed system operations, collect and organize pertinent system documentation, and develop system documentation.
Participate in development of implementation plans.
Participate in post-implementation reviews.
Provide status and activity reports; report progress of assignments that may affect the outcome of the project.
Identify and resolve problems with production application systems.
Keep informed on new and emerging application development technologies.
Monitor, manage and resolve incoming service desk calls.

5+ years experience in administering OBIEE environments.
Linux experience required
Strong technical knowledge of OBIEE admin/metadata tools and security.
Experience installing and configuring OBIEE 11g, DAC and Informatica
Experience in performance tuning in OBIEE and gathering performance metrics for various measures in reports.
Experience with OBIEE admin tool, web catalog and RPD.
Experience in migration techniques for OBIEE components into various test and production environments.
Experience in troubleshooting issues on server and presentation side.
Knowledge of standard system development lifecycle concepts.
Ability to gather, understand and document reporting requirements.
Motivated individual that works well with minimal supervision.
Strong Oracle database skills required
Working knowledge of Informatica repository and migration of custom repository objects
The incumbent must be flexible as there may be workweeks that require more than 40 hours to ensure the positions expectations and responsibilities are met.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other technical discipline preferred
3-5 years as an Oracle Systems Administrator in an enterprise environment
Functional knowledge of OBIEE
100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions.
Limited travel may be associated with education, seminars or special requirements.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk, and hear.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel and crouch, lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds.
