Position Description Summary:
Evaluate and integrate new software and hardware technologies to help create more efficient and easier to use systems. Investigate user requirements and develop specifications for new systems as well as changes to existing systems. Work as project manager for assigned departmental projects. Provide leadership for implementing both in-house and vendor built systems.

" Perform evaluation of new software and hardware technologies which run on computers, networks, and telecommunications which help improve user efficiencies
" Manage projects to integrate new software and hardware to create more efficient systems
" Manage and support infrastructure systems
" Perform quality control checks on systems and infrastructure
" Works with users to develop specifications for new systems as well as changes to existing systems
" Responds to questions and problems on applications, software and hardware
" Ability to train the trainer on software, hardware, and applications for micro, midrange, LAN, and WAN, systems
" May perform all above support activities specifically on email systems and manage email infrastructure
Knowledge and Skills: Skills (The following minimum requirements are normal guidelines and should not constrain the advancement of otherwise qualified personnel):
This is an intermediate level position. Solid interpersonal and analytical skills required. Bachelor s degree or equivalent strongly preferred. Generally prefer 1-4 years of related experience.
Technical Skills: Mobile device software configuration / support: Microsoft Pocket PC 4 (Motorola MC9060 guns), Windows Mobile 6 (Motorola MC75 guns) Wavelink Avalanche
Ad-hoc reports and queries: Oracle, PL/SQL, Microsoft Excel 2003, Access 2003 (querying, reporting, VBA scripting)
Customer service web application (support & enhancement development): ASP.NET, C# 3.5, IIS 6.0, SQL Server 2005, Transact-SQL, Microsoft Reporting Services
Real-time Metrics Dashboard (support & development): Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, C# 4.0, LINQ, WCF, WPF/XAML, Entity Framework, SQL Server 2008 R2 Express, Transact-SQL
Must be able to pass any federal/state/local government, airport, or company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests.
