Produce Team Trainer

The Team Trainer in each department works with the Metro Trainer, Store Team Leadership, Green Mission Reps and TMs to ensure that the store is meeting and exceeding regional’s training goals. This includes developing programs and systems, tracking success and reporting to the Metro/Store Trainer as required; participating in bi-monthly meetings and energizing team members to be educators in their departments and in the store.

Responsibilities & Qualifications :
Team Trainer Responsibilities:
Mentor all new and existing Team Members
Maintain and Uphold all Regional/Metro Training standards
Deliver Equipment/Safety training for new and existing Team Members
Ensure team awareness in upholding all Steritech and TCS standards
Provide ongoing resources and learning opportunities for regular Team Members including but not limited to: the WFM-U, SOTS and other partner programs with TMAG, Marketing and Green Mission Task Force
Implement team-specific training
Provide feedback and participate in weeks 3 and/or 4 weekly reviews with Team leadership
Responsible for disseminating and sharing communication in the Department including: Sales Programs, Payroll & Benefits, team updates, and Regional and Store-related news
Responsible for developing and contributing to team and store specific communications including: team and/or store-wide newsletters, website presence, and other communication vehicles as identified
Partner with/receive direction from Store Trainer
Perform any other duties assigned to you by Store Trainer, Team Leader, and Store leadership
Conduct and facilitate Service on the Spot in your Department

Training of Team Members:
Partner with New Members first shift and complete Department Day 1 checklist
Train New Members on Team Specific duties
Train Legendary Customer Service that is team specific including the 5 Steps of Providing Legendary Customer Service
Deliver BOH and Workspace Tour
Ensure completion of Steritech modules
Educate WFM culture: Empowerment, Dress Code, Core Values, and Quality Standards
Educate on Good Organics / Green Mission / Food Safety / Steritech

Green Mission Task Force Representative:
Represent your team in all Store Green Mission functions
Act as department liaison, passing on all pertinent TM ideas and concerns to the GMTF
Train and Encourage new TM’s on proper Recycling and Composting procedures
Communicating with your team on all Regional GMTF updates, news, and programs
Implement and Mentor proper Recycling and Composting procedures within your department and store
Attend all Store Green Mission meetings and Events
Conduct weekly Department Trash Audits

Team Safety Representative:
Responsible for protecting and promoting the safety of Customers and Team Members
Report all safety hazards to Store Safety Representative
Conduct weekly Safety audits
Retrain TM’s when an accident has occurred in your department
Enforce WFM safety standards and enforce the use of PPE: Cut Gloves, Slip Resistant shoes

Team Good Organics Representative:
Educate new Team Members with a basic understanding of Team Specific Organics
Conduct weekly Good Organic walks
Suggest ideas and support Team leadership in adhering to Good Organics practices
Enforcing that TM’s are comply with the USDA Organic Rule on your team

Team Trainer must be:
