Boardwalk Pipeline Partners is looking for a Lead Technician for the Plaquemine, LA location.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintenance tasks ad leadership including coordination of contract activities at a natural gas compressor facility. Compressor facility duties will include:
• Maintenance and repair of reciprocating compressors and dehydration equipment
• Maintaining valves and related operators within the facility
• Providing day to day leadership of operations staff at the site
• Coordinating contractor activities at the site
• Providing troubleshooting for any issues at the site
• Completing compliance paperwork in regards to DOT 192 and API 618
• Responsibilities included in Progression Plan Guidelines
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience
• Strong background and experience with reciprocating compressors; preferred Ingersoll Rand HHE
• Must reside within on e hour of facility located in Plaquemine, LA
• Must respond to, and address, callouts and emergencies after regular business hours which may require carrying a communication device
• Must be willing to work overtime including weekends
• Must have demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Must have a commitment to safety including company policies and procedures
• Must have demonstrated leadership skills
• Must have knowledge of DOT 192 regulations and API 618
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook
• Must have knowledge of natural gas dehydration
• High School Diploma

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High level time management skills and proven ability to work with minimal supervision
• Strong level of professionalism
• Willingness to learn and the ability to actively participate in all aspects of operations
• Advanced computer proficiency
