The Electronics Group of Crane Aerospace & Electronics designs and manufactures high-density, high-reliability electronics for our aerospace, space, military, medical, industrial, and commercial customers. In this entry level role you will interface major duties include interfacing with Crane Electronics employees in reducing accidents, injuries and property damage at the plant as well as protecting the environment and assuring the plant is in compliance with the various environmental permits and applicable regulations. Work with Safety and Health Specialist to maintain an active EHS program. Maintain a safe and healthy working environment for anyone entering the Redmond plant (employees, contractors, visitors, and contract employees).

Assist with accident/incident investigation.

Maintain files and records pertaining to environmental, safety and industrial hygiene.

Assist with the plant safety committee.

Review the installation and modification of all production equipment/processes for safety issues.

Conduct plant fire protection system checks.

Conduct a variety of basic level EHS training.

Conduct ergonomic evaluations.

Assists with timely environmental projects or environmental compliance.

Assist with the improvement of the plant’s recycling efforts.

Assist with a variety of activities aimed at maintaining compliance with the plant’s various environmental permits.

Coordinate the Hazardous Waste Program.

Participate and attend programs established for Environmental Health and Safety.

Support drills and emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:
2+ years experience in facilities maintenance in a manufacturing or operations environment.

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Demonstrated ability to interpret and have a working knowledge of schematics & blue prints.

Experience with hazardous waste storage and handling preferred.

Previous Safety experience preferred.

Advanced MS Office expertise

Demonstrated ability to deliver training

Special Work Conditions:
Applicants selected could be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Eligibility requirements include U.S. nationals or permanent residents (Green Card).

Working Environment:
Standing: 75%

Sitting: 25%

Lifting (in pounds): up to 70 pounds
