Work experience in employment services and/or unemployment insurance programs will substitute for the required college on the basis of one year of experience for two years of college.

Special Requirements :

Description of Job Duties
Provides administrative support services for unemployment insurance customers and job seekers. Informs customers of their rights, responsibilities and program services under the provisions of the Wagner-Peyser Act and the Unemployment Insurance laws and regulations. Provides assistance to customers in career guidance and job search planning. Assists customers in the resource room to build resume and provide appropriate referrals. Provides customer service follow ups utilizing customer soft exit reports to capture placements and obtained employment. Reviews system job matches and contacts job seekers to initiate job referrals. Assists customers in filing unemployment insurance claims, requesting benefit checks and completing eligibility reviews. Educates customers on use of the FOCUS system job matching. Answers customer inquiries concerning unemployment insurance. Makes sure claims are set up correctly and benefits are timely by performing reconsiderations, completing missing check affidavits, etc.

Qualifying: All candidates who apply and meet the minimum requirements are eligible for placement on the register for hiring consideration.
