Our client is seeking a carpenter/assembly technician to work in the Merritt Island, FL manufacturing facility. Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

Experience/Requirements:
  • Attend Design reviews, Buy-off’s, Walk-Thru’s, and BOM meetings as needed to give input to build of parts and room
  • Review, red line and approve finished prints and reverse engineering of parts/ digitizing process as required for your assignment
  • Cross training in Warehouse, Welding, Maintenance, Block Sanding, Tooling, Master Design, and Water Test areas.
  • Assist with the design, engineering, and reengineering of all components
  • Work with vendors and Engineering on creating new parts as needed
  • Work one on one with CAD Designer on model and documentation
  • Must be able to use the CNC router and Lectra cutter to cut parts for your assignment
  • Responsible for tracing of patterns and for accuracy at release
  • Train and/or instruct Plant personnel on build
  • Build, set-up, and verification of Jigs
  • Work with vendors on design, validation, patterns, and troubleshooting of parts
  • Develop warranty and owner’s packages with serial numbers of components on boat
  • Work with plant personnel on DFM for prototype
  • Must work with the BOM tech to assure BOM is accurate at time of release
  • Installs windshields, doors and various hardware parts.
  • Assemble cabinets and various parts constructed from wood or other composite materials.
  • Installs items such as wood trim, fiberglass finished parts, upholstered finished parts, and install floor coverings.
  • Apply covering to assembled parts such as laminates and other materials including upholstery parts.
  • Assemble and install structural stringers, flooring, and bulkheads as well as possible glassing of any hull, deck or small parts as well as, put in all fiberglass parts free fit prior to installation
  • Demonstrate the proper use of woodworking power tools such as: table saw, band saw, miter
This position is Monday- Thursday. 5:30am- 4:00pm. Candidates must be able to pass a drug screen and background check. For immediate consideration please apply to posting.
