Business Contribution: Operates two or three multiple spindle screw machines that produces PSL products efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Operates two or three multiple spindle screw machines equipped with automatic indexing and feeding mechanisms to perform turning, boring and facing operations on metal bar stock.
Replaces some worn tools with the help of the Screw Machine Set Up Operator
Required Capabilities:
Has 0 to 5 years screw machine operating experience
Must be able to read blue prints
Must be able to starts machine, observes operation and verifies conformance to specification of first run and sample work pieces using such instruments as plug and ring gages, calipers and micrometers.
Essential Functions:
Must be able to operate two or three more multiple spindle screw machines
Must be able to read and understand blue prints
Must be able to use plug, ring, thread, TIR gages as well as calipers and micrometers.
Must be able to stand on concrete for long periods of time
Must be able to lift steel bar up to 50 pounds
Mon-Fri 10 hours/day (up to 12 hours with overtime), and Friday-Saturday as necessary
