BASIC FUNCTION

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) adds strategic value to the designated business units s/he supports. Fully engages within the business units, proactively assessing and analyzing needs in all areas of strategic talent management including but not limited to: organization structure, performance management, development planning, and succession planning. Recommends HR strategies and solutions that fulfill the needs of the business units.

Forms partnerships with the HR Programs group to develop the related programs and with the HR Operations group on implementation and administration.

Facilitates the resolution of employee relations issues at the Director+ level and assists HR Generalist as necessary on employee relations issues below Director level.

May manage one or more Human Resources Generalists.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Contributes to the business strategy by helping business leaders to identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes.

Facilitate long-term talent management-related initiatives aligned with the strategic agenda.

Supports line managers in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline requirements, including succession planning.

Provides guidance and input on business unit enhancements and restructures.

Collaborates with the HR Program Manager group to develop the related programs and with the HR Services group on implementation and administration.

Manages complex employee relations issues for Director + levels. Assists HR Generalists with lower level ER issues as needed.

Ensures that a strong leadership and coaching culture permeates the organization

Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

May manage one or more Human Resources Generalists.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides HR Policy guidance and interpretation.

Helps the business unit leader to provide employees with development opportunities and ensure that they are able to meet current and future performance standards.

Manage specific projects as determined in the annual HR operational plan and participate in functional and cross-functional initiatives

Perform other duties as assigned

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor

's Degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field or the equivalent in education and experience. SPHR or PHR certification strongly desired. Experience: Minimum of 8 - 10 years of Human Resources or line management experience, with HRBP experience preferred. Organizational Design and Diagnosis experience preferred. Relevant industry experience a plus.
