The Conflicts Attorney assists with the management, control and direction of specifically assigned components of the Conflicts Department, which includes: the conflict-of-interest research, resolution process and the new business intake process to ensure accurate identification of potential conflicts thus aiming to protect the firm. The successful candidate assists with managing conflict research processes and procedures and/or business intake processing to ensure potential conflicts are quickly and accurately identified and forwarded to attorneys for final decision, and to ensure a comprehensive, process-monitored client/matter opening procedure. S/he keeps Risk Management informed of potential conflicts problems or business processing issues and consults with Risk Managers to resolve complex issues that have been escalated to management for resolution.
